Moon Surgical builds the Maestro System, a surgical assistance robot designed to support laparoscopic procedures. The platform aims to make robotic assistance accessible across operating rooms, with a focus on digitalised, sustainable and efficient theatres. The company received its first FDA clearance in December 2022 and a second, covering the commercial Maestro system, in June 2024. Its AI-enhanced ScoPilot capability, powered by NVIDIA Holoscan, was cleared in March 2025. Maestro is sold to hospitals and surgeons, with commercial cases performed in France and the United States. The company was founded in Paris and also has a San Francisco presence.
