About
Robotics Connected

People deep in conversation at a community meetup

Why it exists

One place to see who is building robots, who is hiring and where everyone is meeting.

Robotics is spread thin: across careers pages, event listings and company announcements that nobody has time to keep checking. Robotics Connected reads them for you and puts the jobs, events, companies and news of robotics and physical AI side by side. I check each and every company and event by hand, so you can trust what you find here.

The “robotics intelligence problem” is too big for any one person or company to solve in a vacuum. Good things happen when the community can see itself, share progress and turn up in the same rooms.

How it started

It began as a simple calendar, because brilliant events kept passing me by.

The rest came out of my own frustration. Jobs were scattered all over, and people kept telling me the biggest pain point in robotics is not the tech or the demand, but finding the right people. I was spending ages just working out who is building what, and where.

Along the way I found incredible companies on my doorstep: robotics reaches far beyond Silicon Valley. New ones appear almost daily, and the industry needs one central place to keep up.

Who is behind it

I’m Olivier Ayache. I enjoy bringing people together, and I have spent the last decade in robotics.

It goes back to my student days running the windsurf club at Liverpool Uni. These days I spend less time on the water and more in the world of physical AI. I have been fortunate to work on everything from the first smart collaborative robots and autonomous Mars rover technology applied to deep tunnel inspection, to data-centre-scale robotic simulation for in-space assembly and frontier physical AI developed by world-leading scientists.

By day I run a robotics consultancy, helping companies with the business side of things: commercial strategy, product-market fit and business development. Robotics Connected grew out of my own frustration, and I built it for the community.

Questions
answered

What counts as a robotics job here?

At a robotics company, every open role counts: perception and controls engineers, and also the technicians, sales, finance and people teams it takes to build and ship robots. At other employers, such as aerospace firms and car makers, only the roles where robotics is the main subject are listed.

How is this different from a general job board?

Robotics Connected covers robotics and physical AI only, and it reads jobs instead of having them posted. The careers pages of hundreds of robotics companies are searched directly every night, which makes it more complete for robotics than a general job board. The search filters are built around robotics specialisms such as perception, controls and robot learning, and each role sits beside detailed information on the company and its latest news, to help candidates make the right decision.

Is Robotics Connected only a job board?

No. It is a hub for the robotics community: robotics in one place. The industry and its information are scattered across careers pages, event listings and company announcements. Robotics Connected brings the jobs, companies, events and news together, so people can see who is building what, who is hiring and where everyone is meeting.

Where do the jobs come from, and how often are they updated?

Most roles are read straight from each company's own careers page, which is re-checked every night. A role comes off the site once it closes. Robotics roles at other employers are found through job feeds and public employment services, and link back to the original listing.

How are the companies and events chosen?

Every company and every event is checked by hand before it is listed: what the company builds, where it is based, and that the event is real and its dates are right. Anyone can suggest a company or an event that is missing.

How do I get my company, its jobs or an event listed?

Use Submit a company or Submit an event at the foot of any page; each one is checked by hand before it is listed. Jobs need no posting: once a company is listed, its careers page is read every night for robotics roles. To report a mistake, use the Feedback button.

Help keep it
complete

This only works if it is complete and right. If a company or an event is missing, add it. If something is wrong or broken, tell me and I will fix it.
