ExRobotics builds explosion-proof autonomous inspection robots for hazardous industrial sites. Its ATEX, IECEx and UL-listed quadruped platform, the ExR-2.5, carries out routine inspections, emissions detection and incident response without human intervention. The company sells these robots on a Robot-as-a-Service model, so customers receive ongoing inspection data rather than hardware alone. It was spun out in 2017 from a Shell-led programme and is headquartered in Delft. Its customers are mainly in oil and gas, petrochemicals, chemical processing and hydrogen. A UL-certified launch for North America followed in 2026, and the company reports it has reached cash-flow break-even.
