Dalco Robotics

Delft, Netherlands

Dalco Robotics builds autonomous mobile robots for hospitals and clinics, taking over routine and unexpected logistics tasks from care staff. The team argues that nurses spend around a third of their working time walking on logistical errands, and its robots deliver materials between departments quickly, safely and also outside office hours. The company's core is Dalco Drive, a standard robotics platform developed in-house, on which specialised applications are built. Its product line includes Dalco Freddy for wound care and infusion materials, which has been piloted at Erasmus MC in Rotterdam, with Dalco Sophie for endoscopes and Dalco Victor and Dalco Mady in development. Founded by Tom Dalhuisen and Mark Bruijnen, the Delft-based company is working with several hospitals as direct partners. Its stated benefits include better staff deployment, less wasted material and more time for patient care.
