Agricultural Robotics · Founded 2021
Agaricus Robotics develops a dual-arm autonomous mushroom harvesting robot that picks, trims, packs and weighs mushrooms directly from farm beds. The system integrates fully with standard UK and EU Dutch racking production systems used across 90% of global mushroom farms. The company addresses labour shortages in mushroom farming, a sector worth approximately £450m in the UK alone. Founded as a spinout from the University of Lincoln's Institute for Agri-Food Technology, it has received grant funding from Innovate UK and DEFRA to support development and trials.
