Elmo Motion Control designs and manufactures servo drives, multi-axis motion controllers, integrated drives and motors, and motion control software. Its products are sold mainly to original equipment manufacturers rather than to end users. Its platforms support up to 256 axes from a single controller and include functional safety options and EtherCAT connectivity. The company says its drives are installed in more than 4.5 million units running worldwide. Robotics is a major focus, with customers such as Nauticus Robotics, Avidbots, Wandercraft and Wyzo using Elmo drives in underwater vehicles, cleaning robots, exoskeletons and sidebots. Founded in 1988 and headquartered in Petah Tikva, Israel, the firm is part of Bosch Rexroth, which acquired it in 2022.
