Hexagon Robotics is the robotics division of Hexagon AB, the Swedish measurement and autonomy group. It develops AEON, a wheeled-legged autonomous humanoid built for industrial work such as manipulation, asset inspection and reality capture. The division is based in Zurich and was formed in 2025 to drive Hexagon's robotics innovation. Its robotics investment is set to double to about €50 million in 2026, with pilots running at BMW, Schaeffler, Pilatus and Fill. Schaeffler has committed to deploying at least 1,000 AEON humanoids across its global factories over seven years. Robotics is excluded from Hexagon's 2026 to 2030 financial targets, reflecting its early commercial stage.
