Wingtra is a Zurich-based maker of VTOL survey drones. It began as a robotics research project at the Autonomous Systems Lab at ETH Zurich, and its flagship WingtraRAY drone combines swappable photogrammetry and LIDAR sensors with GNSS correction hardware. The company provides a connected workflow covering flight planning, cloud processing and CAD or GIS-ready output, so surveyors can move from field capture to deliverables the same day. It is fully approved to operate in the United States. Wingtra sells mainly to surveyors, earthworks and mining operators, construction firms and government agencies. Its customers include Tetra Tech, Suncor Energy and Dow Chemical, and it reports more than 300,000 flights and over 1,500 organisations served worldwide.
