Voliro is a Zurich-based aerial robotics company spun off from ETH Zurich's Autonomous Systems Lab in 2019. Its Voliro T drone uses tiltable rotors, letting it apply up to 30 N of stable force and interact with surfaces from any angle. The platform carries swappable sensor payloads, including ultrasonic, EMAT and dry film thickness tools, and operates in GPS-denied environments. It is aimed at non-destructive testing of industrial assets at height. Customers include asset owners and inspection service providers in oil and gas, chemicals, wind, cement, mining and power utilities. Named clients include Holcim, Chevron and Acuren, and the company reports operations in 17 countries.
