Kodiak AI builds the Kodiak Driver, a unified autonomous driving platform that combines AI software with modular hardware such as SensorPods carrying LiDAR, radar and cameras. The system is designed to fit a range of vehicle platforms and is aimed at making driverless trucks safer and more efficient. The company focuses mainly on long-haul trucking freight, with additional offerings for industrial sites and national security defence work. It has reported more than 2.6 million autonomous miles and about 7,000 loads delivered for partners. Kodiak listed on Nasdaq in September 2025 through a SPAC merger with Ares Acquisition Corporation II, valuing the business at roughly $2.5 billion.
