Rivelin Robotics builds the r1000 microfactory, an 8-axis robot platform that automates post-processing and finishing of metal additive manufacturing parts. The system uses NetShape®, proprietary AI-driven adaptive scanning, to inspect each part's real geometry and guide robotic finishing with high precision. The platform delivers autonomous polishing, support removal, and finishing workflows for aerospace, defence, medical, and energy sectors. Deployed systems offer 400 kg payload capacity, ±0.05 mm repeatability, and a tooling library of 56 spindle tools across modular end-effector docks. Founded in 2018, Rivelin is backed by UK Research and Innovation grants and private investors. The team of approximately 21 people focuses on eliminating labour-intensive post-processing bottlenecks whilst protecting worker health in hazardous finishing environments.
