Ghost Robotics builds the Vision 60, a quadrupedal unmanned ground vehicle (Q-UGV) designed for rough terrain, with modular payloads, field-replaceable legs and out-of-the-box Wi-Fi and LTE connectivity. The Philadelphia company was founded in 2015 as a University of Pennsylvania spinout and has shipped more than 1,000 robots. Its customers include the US Army Special Operations Command, the US Air Force and public safety agencies. Most of its work serves defence and homeland security, with perimeter security and disaster response case studies. It also markets to commercial users in construction, inspection and maintenance. In July 2024, South Korean defence group LIG Nex1 acquired a 60% control stake at a valuation of $400 million.
