BHF Robotics, operating as BH Frontier Solutions Inc., builds agricultural robots and AI for commercial farming. Its Blitz Electric Weeder uses deep learning to identify weeds and crops in real time, then delivers high-voltage electricity to kill weeds without herbicides. The company also offers Shire, an autonomous modular robot, and a tractor-towable robot for farm work. It was founded by farmers and engineers who see automation as a route to safer, more productive and more profitable fields. Based in Markham, Ontario, BHF has been supported by accelerators and agri-tech programmes, and is trialling its weeder at Reservoir Farms in Salinas, California.
