Industrial Arms & Cobots · Founded 2016 · Series A
Apera AI builds 4D Vision software and hardware that gives industrial robots human-like sight. Its AI-driven stereo vision platform handles bin picking, de-racking, machine tending and complex assembly. The system adapts to shifting bins, changing lighting, worn grippers and complex part geometry on real factory floors. It is designed to make robotic cells more reliable and productive. Customers include all six major North American automotive OEMs, their Tier 1 suppliers and more than 100 manufacturers. Revenue reportedly tripled year over year by mid-2025. Founded in 2016 and based in Vancouver, Apera raised a Series A in July 2025 led by BDC Capital. Strategic backing followed from Zebra Ventures in April 2026.
