Software Engineer

About the role

• As a Frontend Software Engineer on the Financial Services & Loyalty team within the Consumer & Business group, you’ll build and ship the user-facing experiences that power Coinbase’s card, payments, and loyalty products for millions of customers • This team owns the end-to-end frontend for products like the Coinbase One credit card, crypto-back rewards, and consumer payment flows • You’ll own features from technical design through production release, working closely with product, design, and backend engineering to deliver fast, reliable, and intuitive experiences that drive activation and retention • Own end-to-end frontend development across web and mobile for financial services products using React and React Native, including card onboarding, rewards, transactions, and payment flows • Build new features that expand the value proposition of Coinbase’s loyalty and card products, shipping high-quality code that directly impacts customer engagement and revenue • Drive experimentation and funnel optimization efforts that measurably improve conversion, activation, and retention across key user journeys • Partner cross-functionally with product, design, and backend engineering to translate requirements into polished, performant frontend experiences • Identify and resolve frontend performance bottlenecks, contributing to measurable improvements in CUJ latency and availability SLOs
