Drift

San Francisco, United States

Drift is a sim-based evaluation platform and AI developer tool for robotics engineers. Engineers describe a robot, world or task in natural language, and the agent generates ROS workspaces, robot description files and world files, then launches simulations in Gazebo, MuJoCo or Isaac Sim. It works across the operating system, terminal, ROS graph and simulator at once, with planning, replanning and autonomous debugging built in. A free developer preview is offered for individual engineers and researchers, alongside an enterprise tier for large-scale simulation and evaluation. The company was founded in 2025 by Nikhil Kumar and Sanjil Jain and is backed by Antler. Its public testimonials come from roboticists working with ROS and Webots, and its blog documents builds such as a mobile manipulator in MuJoCo.
