German Bionic designed and manufactured AI-powered exoskeletons for industrial and healthcare applications. The company's flagship Exia system provides up to 38kg of physical support for lifting, carrying, and walking in demanding work environments. It was the world's first to deliver connected exoskeletons in the workplace, using self-learning artificial intelligence to optimise movement and prevent poor posture. Target sectors included logistics, manufacturing, construction, and healthcare. The company filed for bankruptcy in November 2025 and is no longer operating.
