RealSense makes stereo depth cameras and the software around them, giving robots and smart devices millimetre-accurate 3D perception. The company designs its own silicon and vision AI stack, so every layer from sensor to algorithm is tuned together. Its portfolio spans compact close-range cameras, long-range and PoE models, GMSL/FAKRA industrial cameras and the flagship D585 Pro for physical AI systems. It also offers facial authentication through RealSense ID Pro and the Perception Studio programme for developers. Customers include humanoid, autonomous mobile robot and industrial automation builders, plus measurement and access-control use cases. The company spun out of Intel in July 2025 with a $50 million Series A and was acquired by Cognex in September 2026.
