Zipline

South San Francisco, United States

Zipline builds autonomous drones and runs an instant logistics network that delivers medicine, blood, food and everyday essentials. Its aircraft fly on direct routes, hover at altitude to limit disruption on the ground, and carry insulated pods that keep hot food hot and cold items cold. The company began in healthcare, delivering blood and medical supplies in Rwanda and across Africa, and now serves hospitals, retailers and consumers across several US states and other countries. Zipline reports more than two million deliveries completed. Its most recent Series H round totalled $800 million, valuing the company at $7.6 billion, with backing from Fidelity, Baillie Gifford, Valour Equity Partners and Tiger Global.
