The Bot Company is building a helpful household robot designed to take over the small, time-consuming chores that fill everyday life. The startup was founded in 2024 by Kyle Vogt, the former co-founder and CEO of Cruise and co-founder of Twitch. The team is small and based in San Francisco, drawing engineers, designers and operators from Tesla, Cruise, OpenAI and Google. The company has not yet publicly revealed a service robot prototype. Backers include Greenoaks, Spark Capital, Kleiner Perkins, Y Combinator and others. Its March 2025 round of $150 million, led by Greenoaks, valued the company at $2 billion.
