MOTOR Ai is a Berlin-based autonomous driving company founded in 2017 by Roy Uhlmann and Adam Bahlke. It develops a proprietary SAE Level 4 autonomous driving stack that fuses cameras, radar, LiDAR and high-precision GNSS with its own vehicle control. The core technology is Deep Active Inference, a decision architecture designed to make every driving manoeuvre explainable, traceable and certifiable under European rules. A Minimal Risk Manoeuvre and remote Technical Supervision add further safety layers. The company targets driverless transport for taxis, buses and ride-hailing fleets. It has announced type approval work and early deployments on German public roads, with safety drivers still on board. In July 2025 it closed a $20 million (about €17.1 million) seed round led by Segenia Capital and eCAPITAL.
