Remora Robotics builds a patented, fully autonomous submarine robot that cleans and inspects fish farming pens. The robot brushes nets while scanning the full cage and collecting data from all depths of the aquatic environment. The company says its cleaning reduces biofouling, lowers infection pressure and supports better fish welfare, while sensor data helps farmers plan preventative maintenance. Its customers include Mowi, Bremnes Seashore and Frøy Gruppen. Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Stavanger, Norway, the company launched a cloud-based platform, Remora Insight, and began its first operations outside Norway in Chile. Its latest round was NOK 164 million in July 2025.
