Generative Bionics is an Italian deep-tech company building intelligent humanoid robots powered by Physical AI. Spun out of the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Genoa, it develops humanoids designed to operate safely alongside people in real-world settings. The company's first concept, GENE.01, was unveiled at CES 2026 and is intended to become the foundation of a new product line. Its platform combines generative design, tactile, force and vision sensing, and open libraries that can scale from factories to healthcare applications. The company raised a €70 million round in December 2025, led by CDP Venture Capital's Artificial Intelligence Fund with AMD Ventures, Duferco, Eni Next, RoboIT and Tether participating. Funds are earmarked for product development, training physical AI systems and building its first production plant.
