Fauna Robotics is a New York company building Sprout, a 3.5-foot humanoid robot designed for developers, researchers and businesses. The platform ships with a modular software stack, full SDK access and a soft, compliant exterior intended for safe interaction in human spaces. Sprout is pitched at retail and hospitality, consumer homes, entertainment venues and academic research and education. The robots are designed and assembled in the United States and were launched commercially in January 2026. In March 2026, Amazon acquired Fauna Robotics, which will continue to sell Sprout Creator Edition robots and operate as an Amazon company. The company had raised about $30 million in seed funding before the deal.
