Niantic Spatial builds real-world foundation models for physical AI, giving robots, agents and autonomous systems a world model grounded in geometry and physics rather than imagination. Its products cover Reconstruct, which turns smartphone, drone, satellite and LiDAR data into geo-referenced digital twins, and Localize, a vision-based positioning system that works where GPS fails. The company also positions its Understand product as a spatial intelligence interface that lets people and machines query and reason about every point in 3D. Its models are trained on billions of images and terrain data drawn from its large posed-image archive. Its customers span robotics, defence, energy, construction, logistics and the public sector. The company was spun out of Niantic in 2025 after the games business was sold to Scopely, and it is backed by $250 million in capital plus a strategic investment from Snap.
