Katalyst Space is a Flagstaff, Arizona aerospace company building robotic spacecraft for satellite servicing and space domain awareness. Its NEXUS multi-mission spacecraft uses a patented Split Stewart Platform robotic arm to grapple satellites not designed for docking, and it carries rendezvous and proximity operations sensors. The SIGHT and SHIELD products add collision avoidance, anomaly inspection and defensive manoeuvre capability to satellites already in orbit, retrofitted through a universal attachment system. Customers include NASA and the U.S. Space Force. A $12 million Series A led by Geodesic Capital, with Fortitude Ventures, is funding the first GEO servicing mission planned for 2027.
