At sees.ai, we’re tackling a challenge with international significance: how to inspect the electricity networks we depend on safely, efficiently and at scale. We’ve developed technology that enables unmanned aircraft to collect detailed inspection data, with the system built end-to-end in-house. We’re already operating at scale with National Grid,, and starting to move into other international territories. With backing from venture capital investors, we’re bringing together engineering, aviation and operational expertise to turn pioneering technology into an established service for critical infrastructure operators. We’re looking for a Regulations & Safety Associate to help build the safety and regulatory foundation for our next stage of growth. The opportunity Working alongside our Regulations & Safety Manager within Flight Operations, you’ll combine hands-on safety management with regulatory work supporting the expansion of our Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operations. You’ll investigate occurrences, assess risks and help turn operational experience into improvements to procedures, training and equipment. You’ll also contribute to the safety cases and applications that enable increasingly automated flight. A particular focus is our work with transmission network customers and the UK Civil Aviation Authority on routine BVLOS flight in the Atypical Air Environment — the airspace close to infrastructure such as overhead power lines. This work underpins the wider rollout of our automated transmission tower inspections. It’s an opportunity to build on your existing safety or compliance experience, take on broader responsibility and see the direct impact of your work on live operations. What you’ll do • Help run our Safety Management System: maintain occurrence reports, hazard logs and risk assessments; track mitigations and actions; and prepare safety performance information for review. • Support investigations and improvement: gather evidence and flight data, interview crew, identify causes and draft reports, then follow corrective actions through to verified closure. • Contribute to regulatory approvals: help maintain our Operations Manual and safety cases, prepare supporting evidence and operational data, and contribute to CAA submissions and responses. • Keep operations ready for scrutiny: support internal compliance monitoring and preparation for CAA and customer audits, with accurate, controlled documentation. • Make safety practical: produce briefings and lessons learned, support training and help translate regulatory changes into procedures the flight operations team can use. Throughout, you’ll help maintain a culture where people report concerns openly and use what they learn to improve. What you’ll bring You’ll probably have a few years’ experience contributing to safety management, regulatory compliance or safety assurance in an operational or technical environment. That could be within aviation or another regulated sector where sound judgement, reliable processes and clear evidence matter. We’re looking for: • Practical experience in areas such as risk assessment, investigations, audits or preparing evidence for regulatory approvals. • Clear, methodical thinking, with the curiosity to establish what happened and why. • Strong written communication and close attention to detail when reviewing documents and maintaining records. • The initiative to manage your workload, keep actions moving and deliver to agreed deadlines. • An aviation background, or a genuine interest in aviation and the willingness to develop specialist regulatory knowledge. Experience with UAS or BVLOS operations would be valuable, as would knowledge of safety management principles, causal analysis, just culture or the JARUS SORA framework. GIS skills using QGIS or ArcGIS, and a relevant aviation, safety or STEM degree, would also be useful. You don’t need to arrive with all of these. You do need a solid foundation to build on and the motivation to apply it to a developing area of aviation. Why join us? You’ll work alongside talented people across aviation, software, robotics, hardware integration and operations, with direct exposure to systems already deployed in the real world. We’re a friendly, collaborative and ambitious team where people share ideas openly, take ownership and enjoy solving difficult problems together. You’ll help shape a critical safety and regulatory capability, tackle unusual challenges and see the impact of your work as we scale internationally. • Competitive salary and share options — you’ll own a piece of what you help build. • Pioneering work with practical results — build on regulatory approvals already achieved and help secure those needed for our next stage of growth. • A small, experienced team where your contribution matters — your work is visible, your opinion counts and you’ll work closely with the people making operational and technical decisions. • Room to develop — broaden your safety and regulatory experience with support from our Regulations & Safety Manager.
