You would design automation and robotic systems from individual sub-assemblies through to full machines, using SolidWorks and producing drawings and operation and maintenance manuals. Candidates need five or more years of experience taking such designs through to commissioning, plus solid knowledge of PLCs, pneumatics, servo drives and machine safety.
