Develops the LiDAR perception side of a new autonomous system in a small, self-directed team based in Hapert. The work converts complex LiDAR sensor data into a format the main computer can use, and applies computer vision algorithms to remove noise, dust and spray from 3D point clouds. Testing and debugging take place in simulated environments using Gazebo and RViz.
