Groundworks is an inaugural summit for robotics and physical AI in construction and infrastructure. Hosted at UCL at Here East, it features real machines in a live robotics test area. The event brings together founders, researchers, investors, and industry partners to examine autonomous systems deployment. Six parallel tracks cover construction, megaprojects, data centres, grid infrastructure, and defence. Key themes include humanoid versus single-task robots, building design for robotic assembly, and addressing labour shortages. Sessions tackle prototype-to-production challenges, building trust in autonomous systems, and economic viability.
