Ocean Aero builds the TRITON, an autonomous underwater and surface vehicle powered by wind and solar energy. The company designs, builds and operates the vehicle and its communication platform, offering both ready-to-deploy packages and custom payloads. Its customers are mainly defence organisations, research bodies and offshore energy operators. Its missions cover persistent maritime surveillance, subsea data collection and infrastructure monitoring. Headquartered in Gulfport, Mississippi, the firm announced a $4 million expansion in August 2026 that is expected to create 45 jobs. It raised a Series D round in January 2026, with James Fisher and Sons taking a strategic minority stake.
